Teams win The Boston Consulting Group Business Strategy Competition - Victorian
Regional Competition
Monash Postgraduate and Undergraduate teams were successful in The Boston Consulting
Group Business Strategy Competition - Victorian Regional Competition, hosted
by the MBA Programs, Monash Graduate School of Business, last Friday 12 August
2005 at the Caulfield Campus.
Our thanks to the postgraduate adjudicators: Charles Thomson - GM Corporate
Development Toll, Julie Caldecott - The Boston Consulting Group, and Prof Owen
Hughes – Director, Monash GSB.
Strong competition amongst the six teams from Victoria University, Melbourne
Business School, RMIT, Deakin University, Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship
and Monash University saw the Monash MBA team of Ingo Sennholz, Iris Chen, Dean
Nuttall and Gan Xie, coached by Assoc Prof Vivek Chaudhri with assistance from
Emeritus Professor Peter FitzRoy, winning the Postgraduate Competition. The
Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship took second place in the closely
contested competition.
The Monash undergraduate team comprising Tim Hall, Shifali Mudumba, Marta Turek,
Ewa Turek, Anasuya Ramanan and Samuel Nightingale, coached by Linda McGuire
and assisted by Erica Brady, were also successful in winning the competition
against Deakin University and the University of Melbourne.
Thanks to the undergraduate adjudicators, Vicky Papachristos - GM Myer One,
Marguerite Fitzgerald - The Boston Consulting Group,
and Emeritus Professor Peter FitzRoy.
Both Monash teams will now represent Victoria in the National Final of The
Boston Consulting Group Business Strategy Competition at the University of New
South Wales on 28 September.
